Hungry 4 music rebrand
What is it?
Hungry for Music is a non profit organization that serves to give instruments to underprivileged youth and children who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford it. Additionally, Hungry for Music provides instruments for schools who have children that show an interest in instruments. They are located in Woodstock, Virginia, and have placed more than 27,000 instruments into the hands of aspiring musicians.
Current brand
While the current brand for Hungry for Music does a couple things well, it is in need of some help. Currently, Hungry for Music feels heavily dated and all over the place. The logo, website, and overall identity feels like it's trying to do many things at once, and isn’t really great at any of them. Not only does this inconsistency make the brand unappealing, but hard to recognize.
The Goal
My goal with Hungry for Music was to Create a cohesive brand identity that remains consistent, and create an identity that better matches the organization. With this, Hungry for Music will attract more visitors, reach new people, and raise more awareness around the organization overall. The mood and atmosphere of my new brand is playful, inspiring, and of course, music themed. I wanted my redesign to highlight the children impacted by this program and how it has influenced their life.
